Linda was born Linda Kay Dunn on June 6, 1950 in Shamokin, PA.  She graduated high school and joined the Army in 1968, where she met and married Dale L. Russell, for Poway, CA.  Linda moved to Poway after her term in the service and had her first son, Christopher D. Russell on July 16, 1973.  She and Dale later divorced and Linda married Eric R. Kobaly on Oct. 11, 1975.  Eric S. Kobaly was born to them on May 18, 1980.

Linda received an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Mesa College, but went back to the data entry business after school.  She worked at General Dynamics and at Hiro’s Data Entry Service, which she eventually bought in 1992.  She provided data entry services for many large companies, as well as many small but faithful individual customers for the next 10+ years.

Linda was a breast cancer survivor for over 13 years.  The support her friends gave her during treatment encouraged her to start a cancer benefit dinner.  She continued to host this event every year, and donated the proceeds to the local hospital’s cancer support services.

Linda was affiliated with many service organizations.  She was President of the Poway VFW Ladies Auxiliary twice; and a member , and Elk of the Year at the Poway Elks Lodge.  She was also a member of the Moose and Fleet Reserve Association Ladies Auxiliaries.

Linda also enjoyed recreational clubs.  She started playing darts at the Elks Lodge and joined the Greater San Diego Darting Association in 1994, where she got on the ladies All Star team.  She was voted into the Royal Hawaiian Darting Association in 1996.  She also joined the American Pool Players Association and was a first place team captain.

Linda passed away on December 3, 2006 and was laid to rest at Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway.  She is survived by her husband Eric, sons Christopher and Eric S., four granddaughters and two brothers.
